Monkeys In UM

As you may know that I'm now studying in UM- University of Malaya. Since this University is one of our well-known institution in Malaysia, I didn't expect any problems that will make my life miserable. Well, it is not the problem in dealing with people. It's something out of the blue... something that you'll never expect it.

It's the monkey community!

This might sound funny but this is true! UM is located strategically in the middle of the city and of course, no one will ever thought of this problem. There are green in here: There are trees, hills, water... So I guess this is the only place left for them to live safely.

Anyway, talking about my miserables here. I always live in fears and worries ever since I start staying here. I've to face with challenges everyday. Why? Good question. It's the monkey!
What will the monkey do since we're human? Well, you're wrong. It's not that simple.

As we know, monkey has almost the same IQ level as human. (just slightly lower) This finding has been proven according to DNA and other related tests. Uhh... scary.. That's mean they can do what man can do.

So here is my story of my everyday challenge.

Every afternoon starting from 4pm, these monkeys will start their stealing attempt. They will start opening our old fashion windows using their furry hands and let the small sized monkey to enter (the space between the window layers is just enough for a small sized monkey to enter).

Then... the monkey will start messing everything in the room and take things that have caught its attention. I heard one of my friend lost her handphone charger and laptop adapter. So, she reported it to our senior and at the end... they found them in the jungle!

Besides, they can open our gate which is closed, just like human. So, whenever the monkeys enter our hostel, you can start hearing girls screaming and banging their doors. Even I run like an insane whenever I meet one.

I was chased by a monkey before in Batu Caves when I was eleven. One of the monkey grabbed my 100 plus soft drink when I was climbing the stairs. Ever since then, I am really afraid of monkeys... ehww....

Here is an interesting story I heard from Jane (my best friend). She said that there was a monkey which played with bra before. Do you know what it did? The monkey put the bra on a string, pulled both ends of the bra and did gym!
Gym!!!
Can you imagine? The monkey was playing with the spring of the bra. Lol... I couldn't stop laughing....

I really hope that these monkeys can stop being mischievous, instead being nice with us. We wouldn't do anything that will hurt them. So, monkeys... stop scaring us. Or else, I will call the animal department and catch you into the Zoo.... hoho... ;D

Cameron Highlands-2

"Curryegg is so bad. Not paying attention in class. Not focusing in my friends talk"...

Okok... I'm sorry... I know I'm having my computer class now. Today will be the day for us to make our presentation in front of the class using PowerPoint. Well, I've finished my assignment and even have given my talk. It was a successful talk. I did quite well. Thank God! Guess what? I'm the second person to present! Fuh... Of course I feel nervous but after some minutes standing in front, the nervous feeling just faded away.

I feel GOOD now!

So, let me blog about my trip to Cameron Highland. I don't want to procrastinate it anymore...

Cameron Highlands trip.

Can you see this?
Self Plucking!!!
Emm~~

Well, besides tea, Cameron Highlands is famous with her fresh strawberry.
When you go to Cameron, you won't miss to pay a visit to strawberry farm. This is the only place you can find fresh, juicy, big strawberry in Malaysia.. Muahaha... Yup!

Can you see how they plant them? There is a watering system. I wonder who invent it. Great invention!!! :)

Ohh.... few brunches of strawberry.. em... But... I Don't feel like plucking...
Not ripe yet..

Hey! The read strawberries are here!!
No wonder I couldn't find any red strawberry... She had plucked them... sob... ;(

Ahhhh hah! I have found this one... Em... Yummy... I wanna pluck! I wanna pluck!

Anyway, at the end, we didn't pluck any. We just bought it from the counter. Haha... Why? Let see this.. This is the reason:

See what I mean? The strawberries are nicer and tempting... They plucked the nice strawberries and sell, and the rest were left for us to pluck. Herm...

This is me! I'm holding a big, juicy strawberry.
Yummy~~

Soon, we left the strawberry farm and leaded to our next destination: Vegetable farm.
Well, they sell all kind of vegetables including cabbages, carrots, potato and etc. Besides, they sell flowers and cactus too.

Lovely colorful cactus.
And heart-shaped cactus??? Huh??
Flowers... lovely..

I went to the farm with my cousin. It was just beside the shop. I love this place! It was so country.. fresh air and most green.

What's this?

It's cabbage...
Large cabbage.

Besides the cabbage plantation, there was a small, tiny part for....

Digging digging..
Carrots!!!

I love this moment a lot since this was my first time pulled up fresh carrots. haha...
Have you tried this before? Fun! Exciting! :)
And even this! Oopss.. I don't know what is the name for this vege.. Anyone can help me?

Finally, we weighted them and paid. Well, of course they were cheap.
*happy*

Blogging this make me feel like wanting to travel again. Unfortunately, I can't make any trips right now. Assignments are rushing in and I have to work hard for them. They will be counted for my exam. Uhh... sob... ;(

P/s: I love this song a lot! "Best In Me" - BLUE

Cuti Malaysia, Cuti Pahang

Have you ever heard about Cameron Highland in Malaysia?
Of course, Malaysian should know this since it's one of the most famous tourist spot in Malaysia.

Cameron Highland:
Cameron Highland is located in the state of Pahang. It was
discovered by William Cameron in 1885. In these days the British planters realized that those mountains were very fertile. Because tea was prized commodity among the colonies, they decided to grow tea on the slopes of the Cameron Highlands. There are two famous tea plantations in Cameron Highlands: Bharat tea plantation and Boh tea plantation. For more information click here

Well, yesterday, there was a sudden trip held by my aunt. Of course, it was to Cameron Highlands. Oohhh... I love it! Bharat Tea Plantation will be our first destination. We were having our breakfast there : tea and scones.

It was yummy but expensive. ;(
I heard a set of tea and scones cost us for RM24. Just a pot of tea and 2 small scones.. Wuoo.... Anyway, it was my uncle's favourite spot to have his breakfast there. Why? The view is extraordinary beautiful! Fabulous! And the air is fresh... Oxygen! ;)

The main enterance
This is what I mean... beautiful..

Bharat Tea plantation
Large?

My cousin and I... Posing.. hehe...

This message has stimulated my nerve... Is this means that there are people who like to pluck the tea leaves? Em..... ????? I won't!

Human is so intelligence that there will make full use of the nature for business purpose. For example this...

Here is a little cafe for visitors to have their meal. Cakes, tea, puff and scones are found here. Honestly, there are really delicious! No lie just... it's a bit more expensive.. But it's worth it...

Because....

The view... and the environment...

We can simply escape from the hectic life in the town for this relaxing environment.. muacks.. I love you.. ;)

Everything tasted so good...
Scones with cream, butter and strawberry jam.. eemmm... yummy..

My tea.. Add some milk and sugar will make the tea taste better..

Other than the local people, there were foreign tourists as well! I hope that they will enjoy the trip to Cameron Highlands just like I did! Have a nice day... ;)

Note: Will be continue for my following trip in Cameron Highlands in the following post. Stay tune.

Visit Malaysia, Visit Selangor

Wow! I never thought that Selangor will be an interesting tourist spot. As I know, Selangor is a state which is packed with vehicles, factories and buildings. However, we've found a nice, beautiful place where we can relax our mind. Oh ya! And adventurous!

Where is Selangor?

Recently, I am a bit stress with Uni life. I guess I'm not yet ready for this new life. Anyway, yesterday trip has brighten my day since I love travelling. My dear friends, like I always do, here are some souvenirs from me: Photos!!!

I love this place a lot. This trip was meaningful when family and relatives were going together. *happy*

Ok. Let's start from this steep stairs. Wuoo... My legs were shaking. It was scary when you look down. Anyway, we were able to walked on it.

Steep...
Look at this view! I'm loving it....

Boats... the only transport we got there.

Is this a ship? Em... We were not taking this one...
But this one.. haha... Yes! It was with air-conditioned and even....
TV! Yeah!!! Each trip costs us RM6.00. The journey takes about 40 minutes.

Next, we took another smaller boat. This boat will take us into the village. Each person pays RM1.00 per trip.

This is how it looks like...

My uncle with his cool pose. hehe...

While I was on the boat, I peep every corner of the boat including the toilet! Lol... I'm a kind of girl who is very sensitive to toilets. I blog about the worst toilet in China before and you can have a look here.

Anyway, the toilet on the boat is fine.

Just.... I'm a bit curious with the toilet hole. There is no any sanitary system. You don't have to flush or even use any chemical to clean it. haha...

The journey took about 15 minutes before we reached the selected village. Ahh... I love the sea breeze and the view of course.

Love this photo a lot.

This uncle monitored his passengers into the boat.

Can you see this? What are they doing? Fishing... haha.. fishing in a theme...
lovely..

Within 20 minutes, we reached to the village that I mean.. But.. I couldn't even differentiate those houses since they look so similar to each other.

Sky scrappers??

I wonder how those mangrove piles support the house and even houses.. Fuh... Amazing!

My dad said that these mangrove piles can last for 10000 years under wet condition. Is this true? I shall check this out.

The fishing boat.
The fishing net

Here was the most exciting and challenging part.... We had to climb on the make-shift ladder. Uhhh... scary... It was very high my dear...

*climb*

My brave aunt was trying her best to climb to the top. It was hard..

My mum was helping around. Thanks mummy.. Hoho...

To my surprise, we've to walk on the shaky bridge. Scary...

Line up and walked on a line please..

When I turned to my back and have a look on the view... it was so scary and dangerous..
yer.... ;(

Anyway, those photos that I've taken are worth it.

Soon, my cousin took us around and have a look at this village. I love the view! Beautiful...

The unbalance, old bridge.. wuu.... ;o

*walk*
Scary?
There are words printed on the bridge.
It means: Be careful.

Majority, the islanders are fisherman. They have good skill in fishing. Here, I found out something interesting. They use ropes a lot. They tied boats using ropes. Besides, fishing net needs rope too.

We spent nearly 3 hours in the village before going back. By the time we went back, the sea water was at high tide. It was not that scary to climb down the ladder.

Anyway, my aunt was so worry. She needed our help.

The view on the fisherman's boat..
Rope
You can sleep on this boat. I wish I can try it.. hehe...

Next, we were brought to a nearby 'floating fish pond' by my dad's friend. Lol... This is the place where the modern fisherman rare their fish. They can receive promising revenue in that whole year without much worries. Smart business..

Raring the fishes..

Catching those unfeeded fishes..

Can you see them? Fishes!!!
Splashing splashing...

Wow! Free fresh Fishes for our lunch! Yummy!!!

My cousin was trying to catch some fishes.. But.. failed.. haha.. It's not easy..

Look at this kid. He's so strong...
Cute little boy ^^

After spending almost an hour there, we took the fishes and went to a nearby restaurant. Hoho... Of course, they were tasty. At around 5 pm, we took the same boat and went back. Overall, this trip was interesting. I've learned something new about the fisherman's life.

Besides, I've experienced the sea water at high tide and low tide. Both show different effect on the view.

Low tide
high tide
(can you see the difference? These photos are taken from the same place)

By the time we reached the jetty, everyone was so tired. Most of us slept on the boat. However, it was worth it because....

my nephew and my cousin..

Because....

We were Happy!!!
I wish I can have such an interesting trip again... ;)
