Dream

Wow!
Looks like everyone is interested in dream!

Personally, I feel that dream is something mystery, something unexplainable by science.
I have read through your comments and thank for giving me your response. They are interesting!

Zu and Gingy have pointed out that she has the same dream all the time and some even appeared in her life. Weird! I have this kind of dream too! I still remember I dreamt of a place that I'd never been to. About a month later, my parents bring me to the place and it was almost similar to my dream!

Well, I couldn't explain it since my book just mention a bit about dream. It doesn't mention about the mystery of dream. However, I heard there is a book about dream. I think some of you might have heard about the book before. Do tell me! I should find out and analyze it.

But what I know now is that what we keep thinking of in the day time will appear in our dream. Why?

According to physiological view, dreams are simply our subjective experience of what is, in essence, random neural activity in the brain. Such activity occurs while we sleep simply because a minimal amount of stimulation is necessary for normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, and our dim awareness of it is the basis for dreams (Foulkes, 1985; Hobson 1988).

How to make full use of your dream?
Jot your dreams down in your diary. You can use your story in your dreams for poem or essay just like what Rajeev did! Cool! He did this and what a creative guy he is!

How about you?
Do you did the same thing too?
Or any better idea for this?
Please share with me... :)

I have found out this cool website. It's about describing your dream. Have a try!

Radiation On Sperms

After posting my previous post, Mobile Phone, Egg Cooker?, I found out some interesting comments from some of you:

Wendy said:
lol... ya i do heard this before too... and some more it is also bad for guys for put their mobile phones near their private parts in the pocket as the radiation may reduce of guys sperm...

Paul said: I feel its scary too. I heard of the sperm reduction one as well.

Obviously, what have interested me is not the neuron cells but the Sperms!!!
lolx... Why? Because I've heard about the issue too:

The radiation of the cell phone will reduce the number of sperms.

I believe that some of you've ever heard about this and do you feel worry?(especially guys) Guys, do you worry on your future fertility? How about girls, do you worry for your life partner? Em... Me? I don't know... still thinking.. haha... I never bother to think of this although I've heard this fact from my friends and the media before.

Somehow, I do believe that the invisible radiation produced by the handphone will effect our health. Of course, it takes a longer time to see the effect.

I've done some research on the net and here are some interesting news. Here:

Mumbai, India- The researchers determined that those men who used their cell phones the most—four hours or more a day—had the lowest average sperm counts. A closer look also showed that fewer of the sperm were good swimmers and more of them appeared abnormal when compared to the sperm of the men who never used a cell phone.

Reports:

    • Normal man: 20 million sperm per ml
Result on man who:
    • Don't use handphone: 86 million/ ml, 68% motility and 40% normal sperms
    • Use hp less than 4 hours: 76 million/ml,
    • Use hp more than 4 hours: 66 million/ml, 46% motility and 21% normal forms
Link

GOsh! Is it true? I really can't believe the result! It'll effect the motility as well? The speed of the sperms when they swim?? Em.... I really never heard about this.
How could the radiation effect on them?
Is it the radiation will effect on the mitochondria on the neck of the sperm cell?

Anyway, I know about the abnormality of the sperms. The radiation will effect the gene in the sperm's nucleus by changing the genetic codes (DNA/RNA). When translation and transcription take place, wrong protein will be produced and soon, abnormality occur...

Oopsss! Please forgive me for this stupid biology facts. I may have made a mistake for the facts since I've stopped studying bio for a long long time. Just recalling.. haha...

Well, I feel worry now since the darn radiation will not just effect the number of sperms but the motility and abnormality as well.
What happen to the guys and my future-unknown-husband in the future? In todays world, everyone is having at least a hand phone with them and obviously, they're easily prone to this problem.

That's mean, they are more and more abnormal babies will be produced in the next few years?
Babies with Down syndrome? Turner syndrome? Or.... etc...? Ohh... I'm scared now!

I wonder will we, the girls face the same problem as the guys?
Will our ovum being effected just like the sperms?
Emmm..... I think...
YES!

I've just bought some books from the Mega Book Festival which is held by the Popular bookstore in KL Conventional Hall in these few days. It'll end on this Sunday, later... Generally, the books that are sold there are cheap since there are at least 20% discout!!!
Huooorreey! I've been waiting for this sale for such a long time.

I'm excited to read these few books! I've been desperately wanting them for a long time but they are expensive in normal day.(without discout)

Now, I can spend my time wisely while waiting for the University feedback... hoho...
Happy Sunday!

Mobile Phone, Eggs cooker?

Finally, I can post something related to my blogs- Egg!
Haha... Yesterday, I went out with my mum's colleague. She told me something interesting.

"Girl, do you know that you can cook an egg with your hand phone?", she said me.

"Uhh?!!", I was stunned.

Recently, she found out this news from our local newspaper. She advised me not to talk on the cellphone for too long. I knew using a mobile phone for more than 5 minutes will damage our neuron cells (brain cells). My previous Biology teacher, Madam Vicky told this before.

So this morning, I tried to search on the website for that interesting news and I luckily, I found it! Gosh! It is scary man! Witness this with your own pair of eyes.

As we may know, cell phone radiation is harmful to our health. It may damage our neuron cells just in seconds. To prove this fact, many scientists in the world have been working hard on numerous experiments in finding the effects since some years ago.

One of the interesting experiment:

Cook Eggs With Your Cell Phone!!

Yup!

I'm trying to learn the recipe from the website and here they are:
  1. Take an egg from the fridge and place it in the egg cup (not stainless steel or metal) in the centre of the table.

  2. Switch on the radio or hifi and turn it up to a comfortable volume.

  3. Switch on phone A and place it on the table such that the antenna (the pokey thing at the top) is about half an inch from the egg (you may need to experiment to get the relative heights correct - paperbacks are good if you have any - if not you may be able to get some wood off cuts from your local hardware shop).

  4. Switch on phone B and ring phone A then place phone B on the table in a similar but complementary position to Phone A.

  5. Answer phone A - you should be able to do this without removing it from the table. If not, don't panic, just return the phone to where you originally placed on the table.

  6. Phone A will now be talking to Phone B whilst Phone B will be talking to Phone A.

  7. Cooking time: This very much depends on the power output of your mobile phone. For instance, a pair of mobiles each with 2 Watts of transmitter output will take three minutes to boil a large free range egg. Check your user manual and remember that cooking time will be proportional to the inverse square of the output power for a given distance from egg to phone.

  8. Cut out these instructions for future reference.

Their Result:

After 15 minutes: The egg became slightly warm.
25 minutes: The egg became very warm.

40 minutes: The egg became very hot.

65 minutes: The egg was cooked. (As you can see.)

Horrified! Is this real or what? An egg really will cook?
I wish that I can try this experiment but... It's quite costy! Just imagine, a minute call for Maxis costs for RM0.15. If I need to cook an egg, I need to spend around RM9.75...

Let me do the maths:

1 minutes = RM 0.15
65 minutes = RM 0.15 x 65 minutes
= RM 9.75

Who know it may cost even more if the egg remain uncooked or half cook within 65 minutes? Hoho... It will be more than RM10 soon...
I know, RM 9.75 and above may be just a small amount but hey! I'm not working... kek sim (sad) to spend it... Since RM 10 I can buy 2 plates of chicken rice, 3 bowls of curry noodles or 10 cans of coke instead. lol... haha...I'm kiam siap. (Stingy)

I think when I get a sponsorship from any generous people around, I'll try to prove this experiment with my own hands. Who know, it may cost more if the egg is not cooked within 65 minutes? Hoho..
Or... Do you wanna try it either? Tell me your result if you got it.. :D
