Birthday Celebration At Zen Japanese Restaurant, Sunway Pyramid.

It has been one and a half month ever since my 24th birthday. I would say, I have a very fulfilling and fabulous birthday celebrations and it happened for 5 times before it last. My first celebration was with June and Letchu. Second with Irene. Third with Calv. Forth with May. Fifth with the surprising groups.

It sounds crazy, doesn’t it?
5 times and they were all well-spent.

This happened when everyone is getting busy with work, unlike me… :(
Anyway, I am glad to have spent one Friday night with Mamak this year as most of the time, we skipped the chance.

Mamak or who known as May brought me to Zen Japanese Restaurant at Sunway Pyramid for authentic Japanese food – especially for raw salmon! Roooooarrrrr!!

may10

My favorite bowl of raw salmon with avocado and salad. They all mix well, surprisingly! =D

may4 Yum… ^^

Seriously, I have fallen in love with Zen’s food. They are all fresh and taste really awesome! Their salmon sashimi is so thick with beautiful texture. Each bite is so springy and you will find your tongue playing with the food before they melt on your taste bud! Oh my… I miss my time at Zen Japanese Restaurant and I swear with all my heart!

I like the ambience here. They have this Japanese feels. Unique and cozy. But kinda packed when the crowds is too big.

This is Mamak who will appear occasionally in my blog.. ^^

may11   Simply gorgeous~

We purposely dressed gorgeously that night in order to celebrate our day together besides for my birthday. We believe that dressing up is one of the ways we appreciate, respect and love ourselves. Also, it’s a way to boost up our confident as a lady (ah! I’m a lady by now. Call me beautiful and not cute k? tqvm >.< )

may14

We were lucky to have one of the waiters to help us snap a picture during billing (that’s one of the best time to get help. lol..)

I always say that, happy time passes fast. You wouldn’t aware the night ended so fast when you spent quality time together with your loved one, including your buddy. And I still agree with my statement.

Portraits style. Creative.

We both actually very reluctant to end our night that soon because it’s hard to meet each other. Thus, we spent time wandering around the mall and continued chit chatting although all shops were already closed. Like usual, we did some photo shooting sessions in the mall. She always says, “This is so curryegg” and often, I just smiled naughtily at her… =P

The results are good and I love what we got.

I love my heels seriously! I have never owned any gorgeous heels before this because mum discouraged me to have one. She said it will hurt the legs. Well, I do agree but still, girl needs at least one pair, right?

Mamak, I know you have heard this thousands of time. Somehow, I worry you will forget. Thus, let me berleter sekali lagi. Thank you for the treat (I know it’s pricey!) and time you’ve reserved for me. I am really happy till now. Recalling those wonderful moments and blogging them now curve a smile on my face. You’re truly an angelic friend I have. Thank you for being my friends. I love you for whoever you are (and I am sure you know it).

*wink*

Looking forward for more quality time with you.
Love you!

P/s: Zen Japanese Restaurant serves quality food with good service. Wish to go there again but then, it’s kinda pricey. Ahhhwww… I miss their fatty raw salmon!

Surprising Surprises By The Surprising Team – 4th Birthday!

Garden at Sunway Pyramid has always be my favorite spot for romantic ambience and good food with friends.  I love their food especially carbonara spaghetti and grilled chicken. I used to go there for evening hang out with friends – well not too often. Just went there for thrice.

However, it has never be in my wildest dream that I will be thrown a surprise birthday celebration at Garden Lifestyle Store and Cafe at Sunway Pyramid by a group of my closed friends in my 4th visit. Not even to think of the girls pakat-ing (teamed up) with mine and theirs boyfriends.

Impressive!

birthday14

Well, I used to be the one who give others surprises. But never thought of I will be ‘cheated’ for weeks (because they had been planning this for almost a month) and blur blur being brought to the place by my boyfriend without being much suspicious. Then, surprised with a birthday song, sang by a group of people from nowhere. You guys rockz! lol..

Congratulation dear all.
You guys have successfully surprised me with all the surprises.

To show my gratitude and appreciation, this post is written to say thank you, xiexie, terima kasih, arigato for everything!

My 4th birthday cake. I am touched. Finally, I got the chance to eat chocolate macaroon. And it’s surprising that I had double eye-lids in this picture! Surprised! Hahaha.. XD

  birthday2  Simply love the environment

birthday4 I like the color tone of Calv’s mocha drink. It tasted nice too.

birthday5

My favorite dish. Love their smash potato with the special sauce. The chicken is really tender. Too bad that I was still sick and my taste bud wasn’t as sensitive as before. So, couldn’t really taste 100% of the joy of eating. Anyway, I still enjoyed my food! =D

After the meal, we did check out another side of this place, which is the outdoor. It surprised me that, this place is actually very huge! I have never been to the outdoor area. It’s so gorgeous! I mean the place, exclude the hot 12pm Malaysia weather.

As usual, we did some ‘photography’ moment. I am thankful that our boyfriends are around and they were willing to take photos for us. Haha… =D

Then I can see this at night. Sunway Lagoon.

birthday10 Never forget the signature bird cage at Garden.

birthday11  birthday13  Simply love this place. It will be even better if all the plants and leaves are real. Ohh.. it will be even better if grapes can be planted here. Then I can self pluck them. Haha.. Good fantasy =P

Unlocking The Mystery of 24

I am 24 by now.

 me

Well, there is nothing to be afraid of when it comes to revealing my new age – yet.
Probably, it is because I still have the number of “2” in front of my age digit which unconsciously forcing my mind to assume that I am still young and I can have all the time that I want.

However, after stepping into this new age for 10 days, I feel the opposite. I don’t feel that young anymore as I know it’s time for me to step into the real world called ‘society’. No more day dreaming, no more laying at home, and no more excuse of being a degree student. It’s time.

journey3

I am only 1 year old =D

Time passes so fast that I feel like pausing or at least slowing it down. I am contented and happy with my life right now and people around me can feel my happiness when they witnessed my ‘weight-gained phenomena’. Gosh! Well, I hope things will stay permanent although I know, life wouldn’t allow it to happen. It constantly wants us to keep learning and growing by arranging tougher test each time we’d successfully tackled the previous one. I know it sounds greedy. But I can’t help as it’s  part of human’s nature to desire security.

journey1

Unstructured and complicated but very artistic roots. I want my life to be as adventurous as this tree’s roots.

There are fears as well as excitements when I am making my move into this new age as things will start to be different – very different in fact. For sure, it will be another transition of my life where I will enter the society, work in new environment, hold bigger responsibilities and make contribution.

 journey4

The city seems to have listened to my inner voice where it becomes quiet and romantic on my B-day. Less traffic with beautiful sky. Thank you =)

While sitting at this corner blogging about my future, I can’t deny that there is still a sense of fear and worry. The picture of ‘unknown’ is kinda scary. I don’t know how fast I can make adjustment. I don’t know how far my loved ones are able to adjust with my new life. I don’t know how capable am I in facing the new challenges.

Kung-Fu-Panda-Master-Oogway-talking-with-Po One of my favorite parts of the movie.

At some points, I know there is no use to worry about the future as no one is able to predict the future (except God). This has reminded me about a quote from Kung Fu Panda (2008) which I recently re-watched with Calv:

Po
(panda): Maybe I should just quit and go back to making noodles.

Oogway: Quit, don't quit? Noodles, don't noodles? You are too concerned about what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

I don’t know what kind of life am I leading to but I am eager to explore and make good use of every experience I encounter. I still remember the dreams that I have owned since many years ago. I believe in everything happens for a reason(s). So, there is no use to be too worried, right?

After all, life is too short to be wasted with worries. Why not just let my 24th journey unlock by itself.

      Photoftheday62  Love ^_^

Thank you to all my loyal readers for following my blogs all these while. You guys have brighten up my days and adding meaning into my life with your constant visits and comments in this blog, twitter and FB page. I am thankful and touched. May your days be blessed with abundance of loves, joys and happiness.. =)

P/s: Those who can create history – and I am going to be one. Are you coming with me?

28 February 2009

Curryegg's Birthday?!!

How can I forget today?
Oh my. How can I?

I just can't believe that I have nearly forgotten this big day of my spicy little baby. Please forgive mama. I am too busy with my daily routine (Ok. This is just an excuse. I know my baby wouldn't believe in me because I am not. Oops!)

Today, 28 February 2009 is my blog's birthday. Could you just believe it? I have finally picked a birthday date for my little eggie since I had missed the first chance. At first, I was kinda confuse whether her birthday is in June or February. After all the hassles, I have finally come up with this idea: pick the first date which I have started blogging (first post).

So, here it is:

28 February
will be her birthday starting by now.
Curryegg Mama just can't believe her baby has finally turned into 2 year old. It is such an honour to have my little eggie since 2007. We grow up together, learn from each other and having fun together. Isn't it wonderful?

I am glad to give birth to you on 28 February 2007 (though I thought this was a mistaken to have you early because I want a 1 March baby so much. Why? Because a 1 March baby is always gorgeous and smart). Nevermind, I still love you my little Pieces..

So, what should I do for you, baby?
What do you want for this year?

Emmm...... Let me think. I shall make something special for you.
Before that:

Happy Birthday babe!

I will always love you. Muacks.
:)

Curryegg's Birthday In JoGoya

September will be a cool month to me!
It must be interesting, lovely, enjoyable, adventurous and FUN!
I know it will!

Since my grandma (my father side) has passed away, I have stopped wearing garments which are in Red, Pink, Yellow and Orange. It's in the Chinese custom to show our respect to the one we love (who has passed away). Well, it takes about 100 days which can be considered as the mourning period.

Ok, to be frank I know nothing about the custom but I'm learning here.. :)

At the same time, there shouldn't be any celebration in these 100 days. So, I expected to have a dull, boring 21st birthday instead of a big, merrier one. Yup... a boring one.

Somehow... things turn out to be positive and weeeeeeeeeeee!!!

For all this while, I thought I might reach KL late in the evening because I suspected there will be a massive traffic jam along the road. Luckily, I managed to skip the traffic and reach home in the afternoon.

So, that has allowed me to had my 21st Birthday in Jogoya in Star Hill!
Ahwww... I should thank Eric for organizing everything for me. He has been such a lovely guy for all this while. Thank you sweety... *hugs*

And guess what? May was there too!

There were only 3 of us but the celebration was great. I really enjoy it (although I shouldn't enjoy that much).. Haha.. Granny. Don't worry, you're still in my heart.. hugs.. miss you granny.. :)

So here are we....

Haha..
We'd been very naughty... :P

So, what is Jogoya?
Jogoya is a Japanese buffet with fresh seafood, variety of drinks, yummy desserts and anything you can think of in heaven. OMG! You will never believe what I'd eaten during in my birthday! I'd never ate so much for nearly 4 hours NON-STOP.
You heard me?

NON-STOP!!!!

Eiksss... Now I can imagine how ugly I might look like during in the buffet. I was so obsessed with FOOODD!

Gosh! Suddenly, I feel like I was a... hungry monster!!!
>__<
Or something cuter?

The cute hungry monster! :P

Well, I won't blame myself for this because IT'S JOGOYA FAULT!

I'm innocent and they should be responsible to all of my shamefulness.
Uhhh.....

Look at these evidences!!!
You will know why I am 'blaming' them.... :(

My favourite tempayaki mixed mushrooms.

Cheese crab! Oh my.. one of my favourite dish!

Look at these.. again...
(I'm hungry now...!)

And I found something special during in Jogoya. Something like steamboat but much better than that.. It's in claypot style..

I've forgotten the name of this dish. But no worries, I will name it myself. Call it as... the Lobster Stone Claypot? haha...

I wonder, putting the stone and cook with lobster will taste better? I watched this in TV before and I didn't know I will get the chance to taste it! Yahoooooooooooo!

What's the different? Em...... nicer, special?
Haha...

Another style of metal pot. It's the tom yam flavour. MY FAVOURITE!!!!!!!
I guess most of the girl love tom yam right? haha... spicy, sour and hot!

Last but not least... the paper pot with Miso soup flavour. Wait a minute. Did I just mention paper pot? Eeiiks! It's made by the thick quality paper and you can heat the soup with fire. Isn't that amazing? It will not burn. Lolx..

I did this in the laboratory room during in my secondary school time. The concept is similar like this, accept the paper used in Jogoya is high in quality.. (of course la kan?)

I shall say magic will happen in the presence of Science and Technology!
:)

Besides, magic will happen when there is Candy Egg?
CANDYYY EGG?

Oh.. Feel like family... :D

And fresh coconut drinks!
lolx...

Pssst.... Their coconut is really ichiban!
No lying.. Omg.. I got myself 2..
Feel regret right now.. should at least get myself with 5!!!
lolx..

This is Eric picking his food.. See the place. It's warm.

I've forgotten to capture my Kiwi drink before it almost went empty. Haha.. It was too yummy and it taste like 98% pure KIWI! :D

Look at my decoration. Nice?
In Jogoya, you can pour your creativity on your food. Isn't that wonderful? I've always wanted to do this and I did!

Ingredients:
a) Few slices of watermelon
b) Few slices of honeydew
c) A slice of Kiwi fruit
d) A Scoop of Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice-cream!

There is a cookies corner and I just manage to snap a photo before a guy stopped me. Luckily I have this! hehe... :)

And cakes! I just fall in love with their cakes. There are almost em.... 20 types of cakes? Wait.. let me count: Black Forest, Green tea, Tiramisu, Chocolate cake, Chocolate and mints, Peach, and.. and... sigh.. I can't remember.. there are too many of them! Eeerrr...

Never mind what's more important here is.... come.. Look at May and I artwork on this Tiramisu cake! We were too indulged with it... :)

Psst.... it tastes really really really fantastic!
Once tasted, you will never forget it for life!

At first, I did this.. and May and Eric were burst into laughter.
Why? What happen?

May claimed that..

"It look like.... sperm la"

=_=

Lolx... I thought it was artistic?
Haha... whatever.. I like it.. :D

Soon, she did this for me and I was really touched. Nice isn't it? HAha... accept.. no candles..

THanks Buddy.. :D

So, you know why I 'BLAME' Jogoya so much? It makes me look like a Hungry Monster in that 4 hours! How can I resist the temptation of not eating anything in Jogoya? I will feel stupid if I don't try everything there! Ok. I admit I'm stupid because I couldn't manage to try every single dish there. My disgestive system can't fit everything in. Oh my.. How I hope I can have a pocket like Doremon so that I can keep everything in it?

Hahaha....
Wishlist: Get a pocket like Doremon... :P
